Blended Learning: Online & Practical Training

Our program offers a comprehensive blended learning experience, combining interactive online modules with a practical, face-to-face training session. The course includes both theory and practical assessments to ensure full competency in fit-testing procedures.

Participants will complete the theoretical portion of the course through an easy-to-navigate online learning platform, allowing them to study at their own pace. Once the online section is completed, participants will attend a full-day practical hands-on workshop, where they will apply their knowledge in real-world fit-testing scenarios.

1. Introduction to Fit Testing

• Importance and purpose of respiratory fit-testing
• Overview of regulatory requirements and standards

2. General Fit Test Considerations & RPE Selection

• Factors to consider when selecting appropriate Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)
• Ensuring correct fit and comfort for users

3. Fit-Test Records & Compliance

• Proper documentation and maintenance of fit-test records
• Compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements
• How to generate accurate fit test reports.

4. Fit-Testing Procedures (Qualitative & Quantitative)

• Step-by-step instructions for conducting qualitative and quantitative fit-tests.
• Hands-on practice and demonstration of techniques.
• Use of the PortaCount machine for quantitative testing.

5. RPE Maintenance Requirements

• Best practices for cleaning, maintaining, and storing RPE
• Regular checks and maintenance schedules to ensure continued protection
